The leadership of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) had a meeting on Thursday, December 28, 2023, with the new director of the State Labour Inspectorate, Cătălin Țacu.

The meeting was attended by Igor Zubcu, president of the CNSM, Sergiu Sainciuc, vice-president of the CNSM, Sergiu Iurcu, senior advisor in the Department of Social and Economic Protection of CNSM.

The parties discussed the intensification of cooperation relations between the CNSM and the State Labour Inspectorate, common priorities related to combating the informal economy, improving the situation in the field of occupational safety and health (OSH), compliance with the provisions of collective labour agreements and collective labour contracts.

They also discussed the implementation of international standards in the field of occupational safety and health, EU standards in this field in the context of the integration process of the Republic of Moldova, the organisation of joint activities on labour protection and accident prevention policies, including in the context of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, marked annually around the world on 28 April.
