President of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM), Igor Zubcu, participated today, 17 September 2025, in the plenary session of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), at the ceremony marking the conclusion of the mandate of EESC President, Oliver Röpke.

During the session “From Kyiv to Tirana: Civil Society Shaping Europe’s Future”, Igor Zubcu took the floor and praised the Enlargement Candidate Members Initiative , through which the EESC included representatives of trade unions, employers’ organizations, and civil society from candidate countries in its internal working process.

The event took place in the hemicycle of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the 599th plenary session of the EESC.

CNSM will continue its cooperation with the EESC to make this model fully operational in the Republic of Moldova — a permanent consultation platform between trade unions, employers, and civil society, aimed at supporting transparent and accountable public policies.
