The National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) and the National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (CNPM) signed on Thursday 28 November the bipartite collective bargaining agreement at national level regulating the amount of the minimum wage for the units of the real sector of the national economy. The document was signed by Igor Zubcu, President of the CNSM, and Leonid Cerescu, President of the CNPM.

According to the provisions of the agreement, from 1 January 2025 the minimum wage for a full working week (169 hours per month on average) will be 6,000 lei per month, equivalent to 35.50 lei per hour.

If the legal work schedule is less than 40 hours per week, the minimum hourly wage will be calculated by relating the monthly amount to the average number of hours worked per month according to the approved legal work schedule.

The signatory parties also undertook to review the level of the established minimum wage periodically, whenever necessary, but at least once a year.

In the case of state-owned enterprises, municipal enterprises or joint-stock companies in which the state holds all or the majority of the capital, the minimum wage provided for in this agreement is of a recommendatory nature.

This collective bargaining agreement enters into force on the day of its publication in the Monitorul Oficial of the Republic of Moldova. The full text of the Collective Bargaining Agreement is available here.
