The members of the Youth Commission of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) took part today, 12 August, in the activities organised in Cahul, this year’s Youth Capital, on the occasion of the International Youth Day (IYD), where they organised an information activity with interactive games and guidance activities for young people.

Trade unionists distributed information material and discussed with young people the socio-economic problems they face, as well as the initiatives and policies of the trade union movement aimed at promoting the rights and interests of young workers and their families.

The CNSM representatives provided the young people with useful information about their rights at work, negotiating individual employment contracts, the protection offered by collective bargaining and the benefits of trade union membership.

According to the organisers, ZIT Cahul 2024 is an initiative that aims to highlight the contribution and potential of young people. During the activities, visitors could enjoy interactive activities such as: creativity and skills master classes offered by the Scouts Moldova team; personal development sessions with “Active Youth from Cahul Municipality”; areas for rest and socialising; Youth Opportunities Fair, where they could learn more about various projects and activities of local and national youth organisations.
