National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) participated on Saturday, May 13, in the Fair of civil society organizations, held in the Great National Assembly Square, in the “European Village”, within the events dedicated to the “Europe Day” in the Republic of Moldova.
At the CNSM tent, representatives of the trade union movement informed visitors about the Confederation’s activity, distributed leaflets and information materials about the results of the CNSM’s work, useful information about compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, the legal framework in the field of social-economic protection of employees, the activity of the Youth Commission and Women’s Commission of CNSM, and the importance of ratifying ILO Convention No. 190.
Visitors to the fair also learned more about the mobile application “Employees’ Rights” – the first of its kind in the Republic of Moldova, launched in 2022 by CNSM, with the support of ILO. This app is an additional support in ensuring and promoting labor and other non-labor related rights and guarantees.
At the Civil Society Organizations Fair, visitors were familiarized with the work of more than 30 non-governmental organizations from the Republic of Moldova, learned about their activities and projects in different areas and regions of the country.
This year, “Europe Day” is marked by a series of events under the banner “EU-Moldova: Stronger Together”. Europe Day activities will take place throughout May this year and will highlight the values and culture of the European Union, as well as the assistance provided by the EU and its Member States for the benefit of Moldovan citizens.
